ADRIEN DÉGLISE
BACK TO SOURCES
After the quarter of a century, I still remember my first meters without those small wheels rubbing and skidding on the cobblestones of the city of Friborg. A few years later, the alpine relief had taken over. I always dreamed of skiing, climbing, adventure and making the mountains my job.
After a few years of work in the field of mechanics, I ended up redirecting myself to the world of cycles. For several years, mountain biking has been obvious, a passion allowing me to combine my main interests.
«The mountain: terrain of challenge and land of adventure.
The bicycle: element of unlimited freedom.
The mechanical aspect for the attention to detail.»
THE TRIP
From a hobby to a profession
2018 was a busy year for adventures and luggage. Attracted by the technical descents and the elevation gain, I wanted to go further, higher, longer. I decide to go for a Himalayan crossing with my mountain bike. The goal was quite clear: to set off as a traveling cyclist in "Enduro" mode. Move around by the sole strength of your calves, set up camp, ride, set off again to stock up on food and so on.
In short: 6 months of travel, thousands of kilometers of trails, hundreds of portages, a good number of high passes and summits at more than 6,000 meters in altitude.
But above all, unusual encounters, overwhelming cultures, unforgettable characters, extraordinary dimensions, endless mountains, endless lines and everyday adventures.
Today, I want to share and pass on this whole experience by offering you a moment of adventure during an outing or technical coaching.
